Nellie is the first tutorial in both Caterpillar Clubs. It’s full of all the basics and where new members realise my method of construction isn’t like anything else they’ve done before.
Nellie was named after my maternal grandmother. She was always supportive of anything I did and although she wasn’t a crafter I’m sure these quilts would intrigue her. Nana introduced me to books and the love of reading.
Nellie (the quilt 😉) featured in an infamous video where I unpicked a seam to prove I don’t use ‘Chenille It’ and posted it to several quilting forums. Nellie was repaired and an important point proven. R x
