Working from home

I’ve just been reading a thread on an online forum. The poster asked whether she could make a decent living from making quilts from home?

I was surprised to see almost 90% said no.

The reasons ranged from people won’t pay for your time to people don’t buy that they can make themselves.

You are currently reading the online blog of a 60 year old woman who lives at the bottom of the world in New Zealand. A woman who had never seen a rag quilt in real life until last year. A woman who had a waiting list 9 months for her quilts when she made them for others and has now taught over 700 women (and men) to make her unique style of quilts.

You absolutely CAN make a living from rag quilts or anything else for that matter. It doesn’t happen overnight and it does require some discipline but it is doable.

Don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t. R x
