A greeting and a little care, all in one (video attached)

A handmade quilt is often given to mark something special. A new baby, a new home, Christmas, or a young person heading off to college.

I wanted to combine the thoughtful words of a traditional special occasion greeting card with the practical instructions for looking after a rag quilt. That’s how this collection of double sided gift tags came about: a greeting on the front and care instructions on the reverse.

There are designs for Christmas, baby girls and boys, heading off to college, a new home, and sending a little hug to an older loved one when you can’t be there.

Each download includes A4 and US Letter formats, with four tags per sheet. You can add the giver’s and recipient’s names before printing, or leave the spaces blank to write by hand.

Print onto suitable cardstock, print the reverse, then cut out your tags. Add a hole and some ribbon or twine, and you have a lovely finishing touch for your quilt. Keep the files to print again whenever you need them.

The little video gives you a peek at what I’ve been working on. I’ll be adding the designs to the shop here on my website over the next couple of days, so pop back and have a look.
