If you’d told me a few years ago that at almost 65 I’d be making reels, talking to thousands of people online and trying to understand algorithms, I’d probably have laughed at you. 😉
I certainly never set out to become a content creator.
I just loved making rag quilts.
I started sharing them online, people asked questions and I answered them. Then came tutorials, videos and eventually a Facebook page of my own.
One thing just seemed to lead to another.
These days I can edit a reel, run an online business and have conversations about reach and engagement as though I actually know what I’m talking about. 😂
Talking to a camera is another story.
I still struggle with that. I forget what I’m going to say, say too much, say too little, stumble over my words and sometimes have to film the same minute over and over again.
And I’m still learning.
There are plenty of things I don’t know and plenty of mistakes along the way, but perhaps that’s one of the good things about getting older.
You stop worrying quite so much about whether you know how to do something and have a go anyway.
Who knew that almost 65 would look like this? ❤️
